Land of our fathers

We may be a long way from the land of our fathers but with sister homes in Wales and some of our ladies and gents with Welsh heritage, we just had to celebrate St David’s Day. One of our ladies showed us her Welsh Love Spoon dating from March 1953 made from olive wood. We used this as the inspiration for decorating wooden spoons using various Welsh symbols, and we also enjoyed Welsh Cakes too.
