Luxury Living with Quality Care in Abergavenny
Moving to Foxhunters is all about enjoying the next chapter in your life. It’s a place where you can meet new friends, be part of a community and enjoy our luxury environment, with quality care and support available as needed.
Creating memories through new experiences
Keeping busy and having fun is just one of the ways we aim to enrich the lives of our ladies and gentlemen. Our home offers new experiences every day which are adapted to the interests and hobbies of our residents. From social soirées to singing sessions, gardening, pub quizzes, crafts, and baking, our daily activities bring fun and laughter to the home and help each resident live their life to the full.
Exploring the area together
With plenty of rich Welsh history, quaint market towns and stunning countryside on our doorstep, there is so much for us to explore together. Our wheelchair accessible vehicle enables us to plan day trips out to the local area at any time. We have already enjoyed trips to the Brecon Mountain Railway, Talgarth Mill, Cardiff museum and Abergavenny Food Festival to name a few.
A place where you are truly cared for
Compassionate staff that go above and beyond
All of our staff are highly trained and dedicated to ensuring our ladies and gentlemen are properly cared for. Every member of the Foxhunters team is truly compassionate and goes above and beyond to ensure our residents feel safe and secure - from the carers and nurses to the receptionists, catering teams and maintenance staff.
Always here to offer support
Whether your decision to move into a care community comes from needing full time care, from wanting to feel safe and supported or from no longer wanting to feel isolated in your own home, Foxhunters has a place for you. We provide full-time 24-hour care to those who need it and a helping hand for those who simply want their meals cooked, medication taken care of, clothes washed, and bedding changed.
All your meals freshly prepared
Enjoy nutritious homecooked meals every day without the worry of cooking yourself thanks to our delicious fine dining menu, freshly prepared by our professional chef. Our menu is updated regularly and can be tailored to the preferences and dietary requirements of our residents.
Enjoying life in a supported environment
Staying part of your local community
We work closely with the local community and welcome them to visit at any time. They play an active part in our home, from local schools to the Women’s Institute (WI) our doors are always open. We really are one big family.
Continue making memories with family & friends
We want family and friends to see Foxhunters as a home where they can visit their loved ones as often as they like and continue making memories. Enjoy a delicious meal and glass of wine together, a cosy film night in our cinema room or a day trip out to the local area. We welcome guests any time!
About our beautiful home
Cosy areas for peace and quiet
Thoughtfully themed areas mean our home takes advantage of the space and views. Every corner of the home has a cosy seating area where you can quietly paint or write, maybe read a book from our well stocked library or just enjoy the views of the mountains whilst listening to music. The choice is yours!
Making it feel like home
We want Foxhunters to feel like home and we appreciate that bringing those special, personal items from home will help to create a familiar and comfortable environment. Each room has memory boxes outside which you can fill with whatever you like, whether that be photos, letters or memorabilia. You can also bring your own furniture or collectables to decorate your room with.
Abergavenny and the surrounding area
Nestling in the Welsh Valleys with a beautiful view of the Blorenge Mountain, this area is renowned for its historic market towns, phenomenal countryside and rich Welsh history.
