Living with us

Luxury living with quality care in the heart of Hereford

Moving into Brockington House is all about enjoying the next chapter in your life. It’s a place where you can learn new hobbies, meet new friends and enjoy the luxury onsite facilities in a caring environment. We want it to feel like home, in a place where you are fully supported.

A place to discover new hobbies or revisit pastimes

We celebrate the individuality of our ladies and gentlemen and share new experiences together every day. All of our activities are guided by our resident’s interests. We encourage you to continue your hobbies or revisit pastimes. Every day is different and can include anything from fun social events to art classes, music, film nights, games evenings, book clubs, gardening or even themed food events.

New experiences every day & trips to meaningful places

We have a wheelchair accessible vehicle to take our ladies and gentlemen for trips out to the local area. We regularly plan days out to meaningful areas they may have gone to as a child or to places they have always wanted to visit. Maintaining an active lifestyle is an important aspect of care and helps to improve wellbeing.

Meet Our Team: Tara

Meet our fantastic activities coordinator Tara. She ensures that our ladies and gentlemen have enough to do (provided they wish to of course) during the day!

Feel safe in the knowledge that you are truly cared for

A place where you are fully supported

Whether you or your loved one has complex care requirements or would simply like the comfort of knowing that your medication is taken care of, meals freshly prepared and your clothes washed, Brockington House has a place for you. We want you to feel truly supported, safe in the knowledge that we can look after you, regardless of your needs.

Highly trained & compassionate carers

Person-centred care is at the heart of what we do. Every member of staff that works with us, from the care teams to the receptionists and onsite catering teams, are dedicated to delivering high-quality care. All our members of staff undergo significant training to ensure that our ladies and gentlemen are in the safe hands of qualified and compassionate people.

Freshly prepared homecooked meals

We can remove the stress of having to prepare and cook your meals every day by having our professional onsite chef make it for you. The fine dining menu is changed regularly and is tailored to the preferences and dietary requirements of our ladies and gentlemen. Of course, if you would like to get involved with cooking or baking, we can support you in that too!

Continuing life in a supportive environment

Staying connected with family & friends

Brockington House is all about making memories and we want family and friends to be a part of that. We welcome guests to attend movie nights in our cinema room, a meal from our fine dining menu or a cappuccino and a catch-up in the coffee lounge.

Closely involved with the local community

As with all the Dormy Care Communities, Brockington House is closely connected to the local community and will actively engage with groups and organisations from the area. We believe it’s important for our ladies and gentlemen to feel involved and to share support as part of the community.

About our beautiful home

Cosy areas throughout the home

Throughout the home, we have lots of quiet corners and cosy areas where you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, curl up with a good book, play a game of cards or watch your favourite TV programmes. We want there to be something for everyone at Brockington House.

Little touches that make it yours

We encourage the ladies and gentlemen who live with us to add personal touches to their rooms and make Brockington House feel like their home from home. With memory boxes outside every room, you can add photos, sentimental items, certificates and medals or anything else that is special to you. You can even furnish your room with furniture from home, to add a sense of familiarity and comfort.

Hereford and the surrounding area

Hereford offers a fantastic combination of cathedral city meets rural market town. With the River Wye running though, it sits close to rural countryside with the bustling city of Hereford at the centre of it all. There is plenty to do around Herefordshire for all ages and interests, making it a beautiful place to call home.
