Famous Welsh singer Bryn Yemm visits Foxhunters Care Community
Date of news/blog: 5th September 2019Famous Abergavenny-raised singer, Bryn Yemm, paid a visit to Foxhunters Care Community this week to see his favourite schoolteacher and Foxhunters resident, Miss Brown.
Since attending King Henry VIII Comprehensive School in Abergavenny, where he was taught by Miss Brown, Bryn went on to become an acclaimed global entertainer, performing in venues across the world.
Despite his fame, Bryn has always continued to maintain his strong Welsh roots, stating that:
“No matter where in the world I perform, I am proud to proclaim, ‘I am from Wales – the land of song’”.
Bryn was even asked to perform at the 2016 Eisteddfod, hosted in his hometown of Abergavenny, calling the experience “beyond special”.
Miss Brown was absolutely delighted with the surprise visit from her old pupil and spent the afternoon catching up with him over a cup of tea and chatting about the years gone by.
