Types of quality care at our nursing home South Wales
Our family caring for your family
Foxhunters prides itself on being a quality care residential home in South Wales, offering the full spectrum of care. As a home for life, we want you to have peace of mind that we can support you, whatever your physical or psychological challenges.
State-of-the-art call systems which enhance the level of care
We have installed a state-of-the-art nurse call system in every room. It has a revolutionary falls monitoring system from Eclipse Nurse Call, which notifies the care team as soon as assistance is required. It also provides real-time monitoring and optional two-way communication between nurses and residents to improve care and response to calls. This revolutionary system offers residents peace of mind that assistance is always on hand, whilst also maintaining an element of independence. The aim of the Eclipse Nurse Call system is to offer residents freedom and security through smart technology.
Helping you stay as active & independent as possible
We truly believe that through enablement, older people can be supported to continue to live an active and enriched life regardless of their physical or psychological challenges. Our care teams will ensure that residents live as independently as possible, with all the care and support they require. We believe that mental stimulation is just as important as physical care, which is why we hold a range of activities for residents of all abilities to get involved with.
The very best care & support
Nursing
We offer 24 hour nursing care to provide peace of mind to our residents and their families, that healthcare support is always available. Foxhunters have highly trained teams, including onsite Registered General Nurses, to care for the individual needs of our residents no matter how complex.
Residential
Many people living on their own in the community need minimal support but long for company. Our luxury residential homes will provide just that. We will ensure that those who are more able can enjoy the facilities of a 5 star hotel with the comfort of knowing that there is always someone there to lend them a hand when they need it.
Dementia
Living with dementia can be difficult for both the individual and their family. Dormy Care Communities believe that dementia care should be personalised to the individual and our highly trained team will take the time to understand each person and help them live well with Dementia.
Respite
For those needing a break, post-operative rehabilitation or just a short holiday, we will be offering respite stays with nursing if required with subject to availability.
Palliative
As a family we want you and your loved one to have the reassurance that you can remain at Foxhunters. We will work closely with St David’s Hospice and the community team to ensure everyone is supported at this difficult time.
