Live Music Therapy

Music therapy at its finest

Research has shown how live music in care settings can help decrease levels of agitation and increase wellbeing for people living with dementia.

Even when people don’t have dementia, live music is proven to reduce stress, improve moods and increase physical activity (through dancing and singing along).

We were, therefore, delighted to have our first live concert at Glenburnie Lodge recently when we welcomed the wonderful singer Craig Balien. He certainly didn’t disappoint and had our ladies and gentlemen (and staff( singing, dancing and tapping their feet.

Music therapy at its finest!
