Celebrate the success

We were delighted to once again come together to celebrate the success of our team members who make a difference and go above and beyond in supporting the ladies and gentlemen who live in our four homes.

Staff from Dormy Care Communities came together in Bath in October for the annual Dormy Care Awards.

A record number of people were nominated for this year’s awards, with 28 finalists then being shortlisted in 9 categories – Excellence in Nursing, Excellence in Hospitality, Excellence in Care, Excellence in Housekeeping, Compassion and Dignity Award, Exceptional Newcomer, Volunteer of the Year, Spirit of Dormy Award and Chef of the Year Award.

There was also a special lifetime achievement award presented on the day.

All 27 finalists were presented with a trophy, certificate, and a cheque to thank them for going above and beyond with the work they do.

The ‘Gold’ winners were:

• Excellence in Nursing – Alex Ghioc Onisor (Brockington House)
• Excellence in Hospitality – Dina Diamond (Pine Martin Grange)
• Excellence in Care – Dawn Morris (Brockington House)
• Excellence in Housekeeping – Andrew Ridd (Pine Martin Grange)
• Compassion and Dignity – Georgia Silcox (Foxhunters)
• Exceptional Newcomer – James Sanford (Bramshott Grange)
• Volunteer of the Year – Chloe Harris (Foxhunters)
• Chef of the Year – Aidan Carrington and Ange Waite (Bramshott Grange)
• Spirit of Dormy Award – Debbie Powell (Foxhunters)

A special (surprise) presentation was also made to our Chief Executive Helen Davies-Parsons.
