Colleagues from across the home decided to take part in the local Wareham Wednesday Raft Race, the culmination of a summer of community events. People from every department got involved and although the final result may not have been the one the team hoped for, everyone had a huge amount of fun!

The raft itself was crafted by Maintenance Assistant Mike, its splendid decoration was designed and completed by Receptionist Amanda, it was crewed by members of the care, nursing and house-keeping teams and a large contingent of spectators of colleagues from other departments lined the shores to cheer the team on.

Home Director Helen Lacey said: “Sadly, the team came last. But it is a challenging race as the crew are pelted from the sidelines and a team from a local boat-builders came first! However, everyone showed great team spirit and demonstrated how Pine Martin Grange comes together as a team to rise to any challenge!

“We are proud to be part of the local Wareham community and we’ll certainly be taking part in many more local events such as this.”
